Terms & Conditions: Candid Kahaniya

Effective Date: March 20, 2026

By booking a session with Candid Kahaniya, you (the “Client”) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a smooth professional relationship and the successful delivery of your “Kahaniya” (story).

1. Booking & Payment

Reservation: A booking is only confirmed once a 40% non-refundable retainer fee is paid.
Payment Schedule: The remaining 60% balance is due on the day of the shoot or event.
Deliverables: Final high-resolution images and videos will only be released once the full balance is cleared.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Client Cancellation: If the Client cancels, the retainer fee is forfeited.
Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule must be made at least 14 days prior to the shoot. Rescheduling is subject to our availability and may incur a “Date Change Fee” of ₹5,000.
Act of God: In the event of a medical emergency or natural disaster (e.g., extreme weather in Sikkim or Mumbai), we will work with you to find an alternative date at no extra cost.

3. Artistic Style & Editing

Creative License: The Client acknowledges they have reviewed our portfolio and agree to our artistic style. Candid Kahaniya retains ultimate control over the selection of images and the editing aesthetic.
Raw Files: We do not provide unedited or RAW files. Our service includes only the final, processed high-resolution versions.
Re-editing: One round of minor color adjustments is included. Major retouching requests (e.g., body modifications) will be billed at ₹500 per image.

4. Travel & Logistics

Outstation Shoots: For shoots outside of Mumbai/Navi Mumbai (e.g., destination weddings), the Client is responsible for airfare, local transport, and standard accommodation for the crew.
Permits: The Client is responsible for obtaining any photography permits or paying “entry fees” for specific locations (e.g., heritage sites, private resorts).

5. Copyright & Usage

Ownership: Candid Kahaniya retains the copyright to all images and videos captured.
Client Usage: You are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to print and share your photos on social media. Commercial use (selling photos to third parties) is prohibited without written consent.
Promotion: We reserve the right to use images from your shoot for our portfolio, website, and social media. If you require a “Private Shoot” (zero public display), this must be requested at the time of booking and may involve a privacy fee.

6. Liability

Equipment Failure: While we carry backup equipment, in the unlikely event of total equipment failure or data loss, our liability is limited to a full refund of all monies paid.
Client Cooperation: We are not responsible for key shots missed due to client delays, guest interference, or lighting restrictions at the venue.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Thane/Mumbai.
